I remember hearing that if you had a problem with a Kizer knife that you had to send it all the way back to China for repair. Has this problem been repaired?
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
I did a search for "kizer warranty us". Second result last page. Kizer rep responds to this question.
Hi, Mwhich50:
Warranty exchange is handled right here in the US, we do have a warranty center. If you need warranty exchange, you can contact either your place of purchase or contact me directly.
We are in the process of adding a full repair center in the US as well, this should be ironed out by the 2nd half of this year.
Re: Blade Steel, this has been discussed many times here on the forum. We stand behind our product and authenticity of our material. If you are asking whether we have tested the steel, we get the steel directly from the source so no testing is needed.
Thank you.
Kizer.

I tried the search on their website and came up with zip/zero. I guess they must not have a US based warranty so send it back to China.
Does it seem strange to you that this information is not presented on their corporate website, an easy thing to do?
I would expect this from a new custom knife builder who doesn't sell the volume of knives Kizer sells and is just setting up her website.
It amazes me that such a company as Kizer is so naïve about customer service. You will not find this with a US company like Spyderco, or a European company like Victorinox.
I guess the level of business sophistication in China is not very great as far as knife sellers is concerned. Why the Kizer guy didn't post a service location address in his posting strikes me as rather fishy.
Makes sense to me. Plus they're a small company presence here in the US right now, so I'm sure they dont need a flood of knives being sent in over simple things like bent clips or a detent that is too tight. Many people will just send in a knife for minor issues without even contacting the company and getting a return authorization from them. This seriously causes major issues for many companies. I would say their move is wise - but they should have more detailed instructions on their website rather than rely on a 3rd party forum for it. However, this has also been noted by Kizer themselves, that their website is incomplete and will also be fixed/streamlined asapFor warranty exchange/repair, please contact me through email or PM. We do not post the address because we recommend that customer either contact the dealer or Kizer Cutlery before sending it in.
Thank you.
Kizer.
