Did S&W discontinue their classic line?

I was browsing today looking for a single stack DA/SA 9mm, thinking of maybe a SW908 or the stainless equivalent and the S&W website seems to have gone all M&P and their new SD series. Anyone have the inside scoop?

They list a 952 and a 9VE in 9mm .The 952 is basically the old M39 I assume from the photo.

Yeah, the Sigma line is a possibility, but I am thinking the stainless/stainless or stainless/alum versions such as the venerable 4506(which was disc a while ago, but it had successors).

All 3rd gen autos have been discontinued. S&W will only produce the sigma (bleh) SD (bleh) and M&P (yum) from now on. There are plenty of used 3rd gen autos out there, you just have to look around a little bit.

That's the plan. Shame though - I always felt the 3rd gen were a solid value in a firearm, and in my state S&W is king in terms of variety. Oh well.
