NEVER liked the factory "batman" clip that comes on the JYDII. Now I understand that its an kinda of an artisan deal, but I just didn't like it. I had to do something. SO, having this extra Skyline clip sittin on my coffee table got me thinking. I got to looking at it and decided, "I can do this." Got it to work last night, where my tools are and made it right. 7/64" in my air drill made it just the right size for the press fit fasteners to fit flush in the G10 scale, inside the skeletonized liner, and the clip went on with little problem. I did get it just a touch out of alighnment when I my drill started up and if you decide to do it, I HIGHLY recommend that you use a drill press to keep things straight. As it went though, mine was straight and square in terms of screw alignment. I really wanted to drill and tap the liners so that it would be lower but I couldn't find the right size tap. :( OH well, I like it a whole hell of a lot more now anyway. :)

Anyway, heres my tip up, low profile clipped JYDII Composite.

I got happy with the scotchbrite too, and think the batman clip looks TONS better with a brushed finish.

Damn, my phone takes some sharp pictures. :)

Looks really good drod! I like the new finish on the original clip, too.

Nice work,
Jon

Fine job!

If you decide to do a few more, I'd look here and grab some bits and taps the proper size. You can also get all kinds of clips there too.

Thanks. I've been to the knife kits before, but I might look into it again for a possible Military clip replacement.

That looks really good! I wish that Kershaw would offer some different clips so a guy could choose what would work best for them.
