Naaaah...but that would have been the most logical explanation.

I still wouldn't call myself a fan; but I'll admit that, since the small box elder arrived in September, I've carried it or the small WC for about 2/3 of the shifts that I've worked (so 2-3x/week). I'm even starting to appreciate them a bit more.
The tanto zaan just got here on Tuesday. It was an itch I had to scratch.

We must of been at the same party
I've had the large snakewood 21, the large insingo inkosi, and small wc21 for years (got them in that order). I had no intention of buying another CRK... Then, in September, I decided I wanted a small box elder. (I may actually have started looking for mnandi. I don't remember.). Then, in November, I somehow ended up with the small bog oak; and a couple weeks later bought the tanto zaan. I prefer the insingo blade; so I carry the WC more than the box elder. The bog oak is nice, but redundant. The zaan...well, I've been curious about it for a while - I didn't expect to like it, I just had to scratch the itch. It'll sit here for a while before I even think about making a decision. (Sorry to say it in this sub, but it doesn't stand a chance at displacing my Voron in the near future)

That’s why I carry two knives. Why give up something that brings a smile to your face. I enjoy carrying/using all my knives. It would be a sad day for me if I didn’t use something besides a CRK. Most days the CRK sees the most work, it just depends on what I’m doing that dictates what knife I use.

Agreed; I've added my NL to the daily carry now that coats are a necessity.

I like that idea. Certainly eases the separation anxiety.

But I already carry 2-3 knives (except at work) - a modern folder, a traditional, and a fixed blade. I won't say that I haven't left the house with another knife in my pack, or in a coat pocket (tis the season)...but I wouldn't ordinarily go to my pack for a knife; and the one in my coat is usually a last minute grab because I saw a knife sitting out as I was leaving (and didn't stop to think about whether there was already one in my pocket)

I need to get a group photo of mine for here, but I don't think I'll be close.

Frankly, I'm still trying to figure out how the heck this happened. I dislike the large 21...only kept this one because I like snakewood. I liked the Inkosi better; but, realistically, I don't pocket it more than once/year (probably more like once every two years). The small WC - okay, I kinda like that one; but it always gummed up so fast that I didn't bother carrying it (and there were other knives that I liked better that didn't have issues). I had 3 CRKs that I almost never carried and didn't like all that much. How did I go from that to having 6...and still only have 2 that I make myself carry? Somebody could hide the three large ones and the small bog oak, and I probably wouldn't notice for an embarrassingly long period of time (unless I went looking for them to take a picture for somebody here).

It's like that for a lot of us. Now I definitely need a group family photo of all of mine, because my collection has grown twice as big as I remember.

I just got a brand new Large Inkosi with black micarta inlays and S45VN tanto blade. I traded in a NIB unused small Sebenza 31 in S45VN with natural micarta inlays that I bought same store previously, since I have 3 other small Sebenza 31.

This large Inkosi tanto is in addition to my Small PJ Tanto Inkosi in S45VN, a Small Inkosi with natural canvas micarta and S35VN Insingo, a large Sebenza 31 in S45VN drop point with natural canvas, a small Sebenza 31 with natural canvas and Chad Nichols raindrop Damascus, a small Sebenza 31 in Macassar Ebony and Magnacut tanto, a small Sebenza 31 in black canvas with S45VN drop point, and an Umnumzaan tanto in S45VN.

I had not counted that I actually own 8 CRK knives total right now. I'm re-using pics I have posted here before.

Last month I traded a large S31 towards an Umnumzaan, last week a small Sebenza 31 towards a Large Inkosi, and most recently 2 days ago I traded a small S31 towards a Curtiss Custom Cruze flipper. Those three that I traded were new unused and uncarried. But of the 8 that I own now, I have only carried one of the small Inkosi and the Umnumzaan. Sigh...

First time Kool-aid has had a positive affect, clearly.

Are we sure about that? I need more CRK like a hole in the head, and recently offered to trade 2-3 Spyderco knives for a Sebenza 21, So,..

I can attest that the 21 line is a whole other (and pocket draining) rabbit hole. As a very VERY modest collector I’m trying to curate a representative sampling of the CRKs I personally find interesting. I’ve gone from 2 a year ago to 20 today. I’ll post photos later, along with some questions/concerns about CR knives.

Am really wishing I wouldn’t have (but not really) stumbled onto CRK. Started with an Opinel No. 8 for drink making duties and then ended up with a couple Benchmade Bugouts and a Giant Mouse Jutland. Wonderful knives, but I had no idea…

Ended up snagging a small Sebenza 31 PJ from a dealer online and I was just smitten. Am a sucker for USA-made tools that are really well done, and the Sebenza became a fixation with me, loved the action but wanted to keep working it to break it in. It’s kind of an addicting feeling opening and closing it. The tolerances and feeling is just so tight and nice.

Shortly after I got used to having the Sebenza as an EDC, I got a pretty substantial year end bonus, So now I have an Umnumzann drop point AND a small Sebenza 31 with Ebony inlays and raindrop Damascus coming next week.

Help!

My Mnandi is stuck at the FedEx hub in Memphis, instead of being in my pocket right now...
