did the Ambush's lock design recently change?

Not long ago I remember reading posts that stated the Ambush's lock was not particularly reliable. However, a recent search of posts indicates the opposite.

Did Benchmade recently alter the Ambush's lock in some way to make it more reliable, or was it perhaps a QC problem overseas?

If it hasn't, it needs to. The one I had felt like it had rocks in it.

I'm glad this post came up. I've been thinking about getting one. I really can't tell if I like the lock or not. The diagram in Benchmades catalog is somewhat vague. I'll probrably just go with the Griptillian. Espesially now that it comes in 154CM.

Last Confederate, when was the Ambush you handled purchased?

I'd like to know this too. The one I had, ~1yr. ago felt like it had "rocks it it" (great decription T.L.C.!) The indraft bar broke in about 2-3 days so I took it back and traded for a Browning!:barf: . This was a no win situation!
