Did the forum take a rest?

It seemed like the forum froze in place for a couple of days. The same thread stayed at the top of forums with a last post of "today" time-stamped hours before we had reached that time today. Or am I having another senior moment?

Better give those hampsters in the computer box a coffee break. They need to run faster.

I haven't noticed the symptoms you describe.

Do you see the Queen Black Lip as the top item in For Sale: Production Individual? If so, there has been no change for days.

Indexes show 2 replies in threads and list the most current as from days ago where there are more than a dozen, some today.

I have no excessive delays in bringing up BF.

Because the "other" place works OK - and BritishBlades, BushcraftUK, ePrey, Google, Yahoo and a couple of Scouting forums, I think I'll wait until I get an answer to my question (above).

I cleared all spyware yesterday.

I looked at the "for sale by individual" forum before answering you and I see a dogfather at the top of that for sale section, that is why I suggested you clear your cookies and cache. This has nothing to do with excessive delays, it has to do with the possibility of a corrupted cookie causing your browser to fail to update the forum headers, in which case the "other" forums would be unaffected, but if you'd rather wait for someone else to tell you this same thing, that's OK with me...

Removed (GASP!) 7000+ cookies. Cleared cache. (AOL/Netscape does not make it intuitive, but I found the #@!^&% palce. Typed in address rather than using "favorites" list. No change. :o

Use another browser, I love FireFox 3, I can selectively clear just the the cookies on Bladeforums, all but user ID and password. I do clear them every couple of days, no problems. sorry for yours, Hope you figure it out, but I do believe it is on your end, my forums change with every new post.

Reboot. Clear cookies. Clear cache. No love.

It's not on your end. But it involves only BF.

Maybe it'll go away by itself.

Try Shift + Reload and see what happens.

We used to tell this joke about NYNEX technicians, but I don't know if anyone knows what that means anymore, so I've changed it to IT technician...

An IT technician gets drafted into the Army and is on the rifle range. He takes shot after shot and none of them even hit the target, let alone the bullseye. The Rangemaster gets angry, calls down to the line, and asks him just what the hell is wrong with his shooting ability.

The IT guy puts his finger in front of the muzzle and pulls the trigger, blowing off the tip of his finger and replies to the RM, "Everything is coming out fine on my end, the problem must be on your end."

:D

How come I don't have a reload button?
