Namaste Yangdu, just wondering if the Kamis liked the idea of making the Chakram that I suggested not too long ago. I know that it takes time to perfect a new knife but I was just wondering if they were planning on moving ahead with this design or not. Thanks for any information you may be able to provide and please keep up the great work!

Yours,

Hi Danny, I sent her the website that had the dimensions of the Chakram and other information on it. She was interested in the idea but I wanted to know what the Kamis themselves thought of it.

Shop and Kamis like the Chakram idea, they will try to make few after the holidays.
Thank you for the great idea

Hm, here's a dumb idea, it'd be interesting if the blade had holes or slots or something so that it could be inserted into a slotted handle and fixed into place, to make sort of an axe. If there are multiple sets of holes, the blade could be removed and rotated if an area gets dull over a long day of chopping.

It'd look like a lollipop from hell.

I feel like that sort of chopper would be inefficient. Maybe good for weed-whacking, but then again, a sharp machete is great for that role. A kukri is great for chopping. A chakram ax?

LOL, a chakram axe would be awesome.

Even if it was just a regular chakram, it wouldn't be too difficult to drill your own holes and bolt it to a handle.

I personally like the chakram idea(I used to watch a lot of Xena haha), I'd definitely put down the money for one.

Never even considered a Chakram Axe before it was mentioned in this thread. Where it would look awesome I have to wonder if it would be able to stand up under normal everyday use as an actual axe. It would however probably be a literal killer pole-arm for hand-to-hand combat action. Just not sold on the idea of this for a utility tool like a khukuri or a machete.

I have to admit that it would look wicked though!
