Did the newer Vantage Selects also get "Fat" like the Avid/Pros did?

Like the title says. The new Avid/Pro's are much thicker than the older models from before the intermediate FRN layer was added. Are the new Selects thicker as well, or are they the same size like before?

In that case, I'm seriously considering getting a Select just to use the thinner scales on my pro. :)

Not trying to hijack the thread, but while on the subject of handle thickness.....Do the Vantage Force models come with a thicker handle than the regular Vantages? I've only been able to see them in pictures and it looks like they are, but I'm not positive about it.

Thanks, and I apologize TXoutback for the intrusion.

The Force Pro's have G10 scales S30V steel and might be just tiny bit thicker. The Force Select has the same thin nylon scales as the plain Select . All the force models are heavier do to extra steel spacers between the liners. The Avid Force Vantage also has the g10 scales but with 420hc

Do they still have the steel liners pinned together?
Not sure when that started but unfortunately the newer Vantages are pinned together. It sure be nice if Buck would go back to the good old screws.

What the heck? I just looked at my new Pro, and yep... I guess they were tired of so many of them being sent back for adjustment. That labor adds up.
With screws though most issues could be fixed without sending your knife back to Buck. I don't like the drive pins at all. The Vantage to me is the best user EDC knife Buck makes IMO hands down.
