My house just shook pretty good for 3 or so minutes. Either that or I need a drink.

Yes.... yes you did. four point five.

Update at 7:40 p.m. ET: The USGS has revised the magnitude to 4.6 and the epicenter to 3 miles west of Hollis Center, Maine, which is west of Portland. It struck at 7:12 p.m. ET.

If you care, you can sign up with the USGS Earthquake notification service (link), and set the parameters for any part of the world, and any seismic activity. Sorta cool, if you are into that kind of stuff.

Of course, if your house is shaking, I guess thats a pretty good sign as well. :)

I'm up in Greenfield. No one I called felt it, which is surprising considering how much I felt it.

Didn't feel it here, tho a guy 2-3 miles closer to the harbor felt something.

Here in the Midwest, we like to save 'em up till they're full-grown, as in the New Madrid quake back in the 1800s, which reportedly made the Mississippi run backwards...
The only one I ever felt was way back when I was in the police academy in '68 or so. We used to go to the academy all week and then ride along with a training officer on Saturday. We were sitting in the nearby park, reading through some police reports, when the guy I was with said, "Boy, this car is idling rough." Then we noticed that all the nearby trees were shaking as well...
It was actually a very minor quake, but scary because we had just watched the training movie on the big quake up in Alaska... I had visions of the whole area tumbling down...

Well, pretty good, is relative. I'm not used to feeling my house shake. So when it shakes at all, it leaves an impression.
