Didn't a member here start a survival school?

Hmmm.. dunno, but tom Brown has one in my state a little west of me actually. a freind of mine recently went through it and not omly learned a bunch but enjoyed it immensely
despite the fact they were trying to get him to pick up a TBT1 for use during the course offered at a whopping $250.00 at the time he went through.

Cheers,
Serge

Terry is a wonderfull teacher and hands down the most skilled woodsman Ive ever met. Ive taken 2 of his classes and will be going to as many as he will have me at. You cant beat his prices, he will tailor a class to a groups needs, and will travel to you for group classes. You wont go hungry. He is a skilled dude with a dutchie oven. I cant reccomend him enough. He is a real expert, not some guru. Ive learned more from him then I can ever pay for.

Terry seams top notch although I never had the pleasure of meeting him. One day..

I have taken Courses at The Wilderness Learning Center and can highly recommend them. K Estela is a mod here and head instructor.

Kevin also recently started Estela Wilderness Education a few months ago. For more info check out

I enjoy IA's videos, can learn alot from them.

I also show k estelas 10 essentials powerpoint to non outdoorsy friends before I take em hiking and whatnot.

Both guys are quite helpful, wouldnt mind taking classes from each.

Terry is a great guy and he and I have shared a few lengthy phone calls (and probably phone bills) over the past couple years. He is running some great programs with his school and I can say he is the real deal. I'm actually looking forward to potentially meeting up with him at a new rendezvous planned in the near future.

I don't want to self promote but part of my absence from the forums lately has been to run some local programs under my new company while classes are mostly private at the WLC. We'll be back to open enrollment at the WLC in 2012 and are already getting people signing up. We also have the Upper Peninsula "Camp In" trip in Carney, MI we'll be attending in a couple weeks. I'd love for the W&SS folks from the midwest to show up so we can finally meet.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'll pop in from time to time but for now stay safe.
