Last week we had some 70-80 mph winds that took out some of the smaller limbs on the big maple in the back yard. So I'm out there yesterday with the big siru and the WWII. I was cleaning up when I spied a dandelion standing over the grass. On a whim I took a swipe with the WWII. Cut clean through! And I didn't even get the blade whistling through the air, just a lazy lop. Whoa!

In my limited experience with the few khuks that I have, a little TLC with each khuk every week and every time they are worked. Sharp just doesn't quite cover what those blades end being. It seems to me that most of them, if not, are pretty close to the razor catagory. Just like I have heard many of ya'll say. "Just hair Pop'in":) :)

Hmmmm,

Had a young Captain inadvertently mishandle one of the khuks that were donated for Enduring Freedom. Khuks stay in their scabbard, if kept somewhere near vertical, due to gravity's pull on the blade. The Captain was unaware of the "law of khukuri gravity", and while handling it brought it up to horizontal and beyond. At that point it, in his words, "jumped right out and laid my finger open like warm butter". Unsurprisingly, the khuk in question was Pappy's 18" Sirupati. You may be on to something Munk.
