Difference between Esse and Rat?

looking though amazon and cant find Esse however the Rat equivalent is there, any thoughts, opinions, and knowledge on the differences?

there isn't really any big conspiracy about it. the esee knives are made by rowen and have much better fit and finish and heat treat than ontario. there are some differences in the models as well. the older models still made by rowen and labeled rc3, rc4 rc5 rc6 ect are still exactly the same as the esee3, esee4, esee5 ect. they will say rowen on the oposite side of the blade. the ontario versions are rat3, rat5, rat7 ect.
