Difference between Ontario Bowies

Can anyone here tell me the difference between Ontario's SP-5 Survival Bowie, and the SP-10 Marine Raider Bowie other than the hard rubber guard on the SP-10? Length is the same, thickness seems to be the same. Thanks! James

Hi,

The Raider Bowie has a wider blade. It's very similar to the Western W-49 Bowie, as they all originate from a older design. The survival Bowie is more like the Marble's Trailmaker. The Raider also has, I believe a steel Double guard.
