Recommendation? Difference between Red Linen and Natural Micarta?

The photos on a certain retailers site make them look very similar... I am guessing one is more brown and one more red... Does anyone have a side by side? or recommendations? I am looking for one that will pick up a natural use patina...

No problem. There’s not a whole lot of difference between the two

I think the bigger difference is the look of the 'grain' than the color between the two. The natural looks like more of an open weave or it's cut in a different orientation.

Wow! I have never seen the two types of micarta next together. I actually like the red better. Thank you for posting the photo.

The middle natural in my picture (I don’t own it anymore) is edge cut micarta. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

It looks edge cut to me, but part of the difference is linen vs canvas too. Not sure if the red linen is edge cut or not.
