I just sent a member payment for his SAR3 with the red and black G10 scales. (Looked good to me). I know that it isn't the numbered LE version, but what other ways will it be different than the LE version of the SAR3?

No difference other than that it doesn't have the LE number, and tigerhide color scales. Still satin infi with melt treatment. They are sweet knives! I love my black/orange.

Yup, they are pretty much the same. Love my LE, batons fairly well for such a little guy.

Now I just have to find a sheath for it. Not an easy task on my budget. The knife tapped me out, and I'd like to take the knife with me on a 3 month trip, starting early August (WY., MT, ID, CO.) Lots of times to use a small fixed blade. I have other knives that will do the job well, but now that I have the SAR3, I'd like to use it. :D

I've gotten to an age where I think that, "champagne tastes and beer budget" is a clever new phrase. One of the few blessings of advancing years.:D

I'm very happy with my Mashed Cat sheath for my SAR-3. If you are looking at Kydex, check em out.

If you fancy leather over kydex, I'm pretty happy with my SAR3 sheath made by Savage Leather. Cheap and fast! Google Savage Made Sheaths. If you like Kydex, I'm a big fan of Steelnut's sheaths. He did all my kydex. Contact him here on the forums.

I have a few sheaths left. :)
Including the pocket sheath.

I have a Red & Black, and really enjoy it. I purchased a black leather sheath from the Company Store (which is made by Armorall Leather) which is a great sheath. Shipping was fast, only 2 days if I remember correctly.
