They look the same and have the same blade steel. What is the difference?

Greetings dino. Without checking the catalog specs, the Standard has a thicker blade than the Delica. Presumeably, you are referring to the Standard and Delica II, both with steel scales.

Hello,
I could be wrong, but I bleieve the Standard has G10 handles and is tip down carry.

Greetings wkrafft, we are in different time frames. I believe the all steel Standard I had a few years ago is now discontinued. Yes, the G10 model is now, well, Standard!(:^) Since dino did not point out the obvious scale differences, I thought he might have been referring to the "old" Standard, which did have a thicker blade.

Nakano is right, the G-10 is "standard". Other differences?
The overal length of the Delica II is 6 7/8 ", the Standard 6 1/2". Delica II weight is 4.0 oz, the Standard 2.75 oz. Blade steel in the Delica II is AUS-6, the Standard ATS-55. Those are the most obvious differences...

Strictly non-technical, but hopefully helpful.

Just wanted to thank you guys for answering my questions. The only place here in San Antonio Texas I've seen Spyderco knifes does not have much of a selection. Being of a meticulous nature I enjoy researching before purchases as much as possible. This group is a great source of hands-on information.
Thanks
