Differences between custom and production Emersons?

This is a very newbee question, but what are the major differences between a Custom Emerson and a production one?

I currently have a TiNi Commander and CQC7 and they are both great knives. I am considering a Custom CQC6, but am wondering about the benefits....

Welcome! The difference is several hundred dollars and the custom is hand made of course.
Just because it is a custom doesn't make it cut any better. It just looks better than a production.
