So here's a question for all y'all with big HI collections. Is there a significant difference in feel between the Kesar Lal Villager Utility Knife, the Dhan Bahadur VUK, and Lachhu VUK? I've handled a KLVUK, and I loved how it felt in hand. It just felt energetic yet solid in my hand. The weight and balance were amazing. I'm wondering if the other VUKs have the same feel, or if they differ, and if they differ, how?

All I can say is Dhan made them lighter than Keshar Lal and Keshar Lal was trained by Bura and was definitely the flagship of the ultimate villager utilitarian blade. All HI Kamis are awesome and you'd have to look at the specs that fit you best when choosing the blade best for you. You can thank Aunti Yangdu for that. She has the quality completely under control when it comes to Khuks. Confidence is something you dont have to worry about. Just pick the one that fits your needs and be proud of the Kami that made it! I have one of all and in my opinion they are all equal in quality.

I only have one VUK and it was made by Bura. Therefore, it's mostly a shelf queen. However, it feels much like others describe their VUKs. Which it's closest to, I don't know but handy is an understatement.

Well i have at least five KLVUKS. Out of a random day sample today I used two of them. One in the shop to whack some river cane for arrows and my wifes KLVUK in the living room to scrap the nodes clean after I straightened them. Great to have one in every room:D

I do like my Dhan blades tho. I forgot about that one. They are lighter and prolly would have been better! Sucks havin all them choices eh?

Glad to hear it. I expected any HI blade would be quality, but hearing that the excellent feel in the hand is present in them all is great. Hmm, I think I need a Tamang too, now that I think about it. So many wonderful knives.
