Looking at both Mini Griptilian 555 and Mini RSK
Price is different. I have the big RSK MKI but I like the absolute scary edge that 154CM takes.
They look to accomplish same things, but the Ritter looks cooler.

Help!

:D

Differences are blade steel, blade profile and cost.

Your full size RSK Grip has the same S30V steel that the mini version will have. S30V is a little harder to sharpen but will take a great edge and hold that edge longer, if you learn how to sharpen it. If you have trouble sharpening your large RSK, go with the 555...

Your full size RSK Grip has the same deep belly blade profile that the mini RSK has. Lots of people prefer that blade profile, but it's a personal choice. If you like that blade, buy the mini RSK...if not, buy the 555...

If you shop around a little, you can find discounts on the 555, but not the Ritters (at least, not new).

If none of this matters, toss a coin? ;)

This is probably extremely insignificant, but in addition to the change in steel, you get a black/greyish box with Ritter instead of a blue one :D

I get a very good edge on the RSK big one, but not as "fine" as the 154CM.
It does last a long time though.

I should just stick with the U-2 Fallkniven for edge quality AND holding.

but it's so..... DINKY!

I wish it was 3".....even if it wasn't a one hander.

Here's an answer to a question you didn't ask, but it will be true for both the Ritter and the regular mini Grips. To me, the mini-Grip feels like a totally different knife than the large. It has liners that are about the same size, so the mini's liners are essentially full liners. The large just sounds and feels different due to the large amount of air and plastic in the handles. The mini feels like a whole different knife.

I won't repeat what others said, but here is my "experience" with the Ritter mini-grip:
* has better balance
* tolerances are maintained pretty well (as compared to my large BM grip)
* comes with a "parkerized" clip (takes a while for the color to rub off, unlike black painted clips)
* terrific tool in a small package (I used to EDC a Sage2, but sold it preferring the Ritter mini-grip - BTW, here is a shot of the cutting edge "length" for both the Sage2 and the Ritter mini-grip. Though the Sage2 is larger overall, the Ritter mini-grip offers a longer cutting edge!)

And I agree with others, the ritter mini-grip feels more "fuller" knife. I personally feel, the Ritter mini-grip is totally worth its price.

Are you comparing mini Grip to mini Ritter Grip, or a mini to a large?

Nopes just clarifying terrific tool in a small package - the Sage 2 though large overall than the mini-MK1, the mini-MK1 has longer cutting edge than the Sage2.

Just got my Mini-RSK with Cuscadi orange scales in the mail, and all I can say is wow! This is so much nicer than the mini-grip I owned. The blade shape is really awesome, and the Cuscadi handles actually fit my hands, unlike the standard minigrip scales. I really, really like this knife! The mini-grip is great, but to me the RSK blows it out of the water.
