These two models caught my eye. anyone have a side by side pics or comparison? Which do you like more? The bushcrafter looks beefier, but i love the profile of the finger and think its one of the coolest looking blades in the lineup. What do you guys think of either?

The Bushfinger that I have now is what would have come from Jesus' shop if he had been a knifemaker instead of a carpenter. Just sayin.. :)

Never had a Bushcrafter from Andy, but it's hard to go wrong with any of them. Look up Mistwalkers posts for more info on the 'finger.

I don't own either (stink) but I would say that a notable difference between the two is the 'finger' is has a much more pointy tip than the Bushcrafter. Both would obviously be outstanding bushcraft knives. But one may suit your needs butter than the other based on your needs, of course.

I make a bunch of 4" bladed knives. The Ladyfinger, Guardless Ladyfinger, Bushfinger, Bushcrafter, Arete, KPH, Shank, KE Bushie (3.9" blade actually), are all 4" long with a 4.5" handle. They are all pretty different after that.

The Bushcrafter has more belly, and the handle terminates differently than the Bushfinger. The point on the Bushfinger is very pointy. Thats what gives that knife a lot of its sex appeal. The idea actually came from making a cross between a Ladyfinger and a Bushcrafter. Ladyfinger kind of handle termination, and a more pointy blade like the Ladyfinger, but with a more but with a wider blade with a bit of belly from the Bushie. The two models, BF and BC, are the same width edge to spine. As to beefy, they are all made from the same basic steel thicknesses. The BC has more meat at the tip though.

My BF gets more use than my BC, to me it's a "handier" size. It is one of the best all around knives that I own...

I agree that the finger is much sexier. I think that ill end up getting that one. I like em pointy.

The original Bushcrafter was one of Andy's first designs. There was the Bushcraft Sr. and Bushcraft Jr. I have one of those first Bushcraft Sr's he made. The modern Bushcrafter design replaced both previous and has that standard 4" blade and 4.5" handle. I don't have a Bushfinger, but have handled plenty of them. ...and drooled over plenty of them. lol. In my opinion, the Bushfinger is an awesome design, actually my favorite of Andy's designs, and lightyears ahead of the Bushcrafter design. If I was choosing between the two, it would be absolutely no contest, Bushfinger all the way. It's a much sexier, more elegant, more ergonomic, and more blade-handy design than the Bushcrafter. I would say the Bushcrafter is more of that old school, rugged, simple design. The Bushfinger is a very refined design. That pointer blade and more belly are more useful and the handle is better. That's just my opinion. Take it with a grain of shut-the-hell-up. hahaha.

I love everything about the Bushfinger. The handle contour, the blade, the weight and length. I haven't held the other model but that and the Bush Operator that Fletcher made are just awesome knives. They don't look bad hanging out with the Beckers either.
