Can anyone tell me why there is a difference in the Delica 4. On their website the clip is held on by three small screews but on the one I'm about to buy the clip is held by one see through larger bolt.

Is it an older model or what?

It sounds like you are getting a Delica 3. Which, in my opinion is better than the newer 4's for size. The newer ones have a slightly longer handle and the blade is not as pointy.
I just searched all over and just got a NIB model 3 before they are all gone.
Most seem to like the 4's better, but I would take a 3 any day.

I like both, but prefer the 4 because of the added durability of the tip. Can't really go wrong with either, though.

The web seller may be using an older picture of the Delica, I would try to confirm what they would ship you.

Definitely an older picture.

Also the 3's have no SS skeletonized liners, ie you are holding on to the FRN and that in itself is the structure of the knife.

I wish I had known that. I gave me 3 away when I got my 4. It was almost like new.

I have posted on this. I have been carrying the 4 for one year now. Prior to that I carried a 3 in ATS55 for 5 years of daily carry.

They are different. The 4 is slightly more sturdy and I find not as fine as a cutter as the 3. VG10 is better than ATS55. The clips are better on the 4's.

You can't go wrong with either. Delicas are by far the best small EDC around.
