My questions:

Would the differences in swedge mean any difference in performance?

Is one swedge design make the tip inherently stronger than the other?

From my perspective, the first one looks more a fighter while the second looks more like a hunting/bushcraft knife.

Thanks all!

I was thinking that too. The first one has a more military/defensive application, while the KSF version is more a survival/bushcraft knife.

I wondered that too. Thought maybe it was just the angle of the pic and they were the same but Ill let you know when mine arrives. I just ordered up a bushmaster and a MUCK from KSF so should be here later this week.

Yep, definitely no swedge going all the way to the tip as in the pic in his thread. The KSF pic is accurate, it's not just the lighting.

That being said the knife is still freaking sweet. I did like the looks better with the swedge going all the way (its just darn sexy), but Im really not complaining. Super thick steel seems like it will really take a beating, and the handle is extremely comfy. You wont miss the swedge on this one; defnitely makes it superior for batoning.
