Does anyone have an opinion about the different fasteners on their Busse's. One of my SH-E has what looks like brass (? gold color) and my other one has aluminum (? silver color). Both are exactly the same except for the fasteners. The gold colored ones are beautiful, but they are definitly more visible (reflective) and bigger than the silver fasteners. Just wondering why one knife has gold color fasteners and the other silver. It seems like the gold color is more like a collector style and the other is more indiscrete for a user. Can anyone chime in with their opinion?

i differ in opinion on wich is more glinty. looking over at mine sitting on the floor, the gold blend in with their surroundings, being of a dark color, and the silver stand out, and reflect light all the way around.

the bronze fasteners (mine any ways) seem to have done what most other bronze ive dealt with and tarnished up a bit, getting a darker richer color, where as the silver is still a straight silver color. to me, the silver is a blank color that doesnt meld with the coating or the handles, leaving you to notice the variations in the handle and coating colors, where as the bronze kind of changes everything by bringing a warm tone to it all...

i can see where the bronze color might catch the eye as far as a camoflauge goes, but its much dolor in its glint then the silver... perhaps if i used the silver on a daily basis, it would dull up as well....

maybe im crazy....

The silver does become a bit duller as you play with your knife. I use bronze posish and it brings both back nicely.

Put of the two I prefer the silver. Both seem to dull or tarnish at the same rate, however I've never been a fan of "gold" colored metals. Although there is one knife in particular they look sooooo schweeeet :)
