Quick question, are the handle rivets used on SR101 offerings different than INFI offerings? Compare the pics below to see what i'm talking about

The INFI rivets look, larger and more fancy! Maybe i'm just trippin :p

The Rivets on the Infi models are made of INFI-Just Kidding, I have no idea, maybe one of the experts can chime in

I'm no expert, but seems like I read here the tubes are brass or stainless steel depending on what's "laying around the shop."

You get what you pay for :D Always go for INFI baby. Oh great, posting after a twelve pack again am I? Could handle thickness have anything to do with it? I'm too buzzed for research right now...

There does seem to be a finish difference in how flared/polished the tubes are. Wonder what the official, 'so the shop knows what you're talking about' terminology is for it?

The type of smooth, solid fasteners seem to have evolved over time, too. I have a custom AMS with what appear to be brass Loveless bolts, while some more recent models have what look to me like brass Corbys (slightly smaller diameter, no visible bolt/nut lines). No idea if these were specific choices offered, or just changes in the default of what Busse does if someone says "hey, can I get solid bolts please?"

My SOB has brass colored & my ASH2 has silvery colored (I don't know what material it is). Both are INFI with black G-10 handles.

They are all the same. It's just a matter of how we finish them.

And that comes down to what and how much we're drinking that day. . ..

Let's drink!

Awesome! I can use this for the "why do you have 2 of the same knife" defense.

It seems the custom shop tube flares get reamed/polished and the rest are just flared from hands on comparisons. Some of the older models had different tubes, but that changed a ways back so they all have the same silver/stainless color like Jerry just said.

Maybe that started with the SS tubes? My couple CS knives with tubes are regular flared brass...which is fine by me because I just want to replace em with solid bolts anyway :D
