Ok I'm new to all this knife stuff. I carry right now a Gerber AR 3.0 BBS. In the past I carried a SOG mini autoclip. And now I'm expecting a SOG TF-3 Trident tomorrow. Well, I've been reading a lot of knife reviews and such and I'm reading a lot of different grinds and locks. Is there a site anywhere that I can learn about the different types of locks and grinds?? I know the SOG trident is a piston lock and I think my Gerber is a liner lock and my old SOG was a lockback but what about the other types? And how do they work? Thanks

For learning about locks, you could go right to the individual manufacturer's pages. Benchmade has a section talking about their different locks. Spyderco's site has links right in the knife decriptions that pop up info on different features, whether it be locks, grinds, steels, etc. Poke around.

Someone else may know of a page where info like this is centralized.
