I just finished two identical knives, one's 1084 and the other is D2. Is it reasonable to charge more for the D2 blade, just based on the more complex heat treatment? What do you guys think?

Yes. The D2 is more expensive, it will cost more to HT, The grinding will use more belts. Having said that, I don't know how much extra to charge.

Oh, I think I can figure that out. In thinking about it, I guess my question was kind of silly. Guys charge more for certain steels all the time.
