I recently bought a buck 110 from wal mart and its pretty great but im worried about the authenticity of it. First one handle is darker from the other, hopefully you can see in the pictures. Second the package was split at the bottom even though it was sold as new, so maybe it just split after being dropped a few times. The thing is just about shaving sharp and I intend to use it regardless, but id like to see what the experts say

Very, very real and genuine Buck 110. :)
It is not unusual for wood covers to not match exactly.

I've never owned a Buck with wood scales that matched. The grain pattern is what makes it unique from modern scales like plastic, micarta, or G10. When collecting 110's I look for different patterns. By the way yours is very much a real Buck.
