I'm fairly new to the CRK world and I'm confused about all the Sebenza models that have been produced. I've read the sticky about the history of each and the dates started and discontinued but I sure would like to see a picture of each.

For instance I finally found a Pheasant Tail I had been looking for. The one I found was produced in 2006 . . . but I believe it could be either a regular or a classic! And I don't know which it is!! (But heck . . ., it was the Pheasant Tail design I wanted!!!)

Anyway . . . there may be a thread that has all this but I simply can't find it!!

Thanks for the help as I learn more!!

That gorgeous blade is a Regular. The easiest way to tell is the Regulars have the "traction scallops" on the lower front of the slabs (those ridges on either side of the thumb notch for the lock). The 21s and Classics do not. The Classic and 21s are very similar, with the 21 being a revised version of the Classic, which itself was a revised version of the original "P" Sebenza. The Classics have extra engraving saying "Classic" and "MM" on them, along with some more subtle differences.

If you do not already know, you own one of the most sought-after CGG (computer generated graphic) Sebenzas, that is both a discontinued model, and a discontinued graphic. Guard it well around CRK nuts!!!, especially if they also tie flies. ;)

Thanks Cody! I searched for 6 months before I found this one and I can't tell you how happy I am about finally getting one!

I saw a picture of the clip side of a regular and mine looks a little different. The picture showed scallops evenly but mine has a little "cove" in front of the scallops in the center and the picture didn't . . . so I just wasn't sure at all!

I'm just trying to learn all I can. I sure appreciate your info!!

I don't believe that the Pheasant Tail was produced on the Classic version.
