David,

Here is all the fella had to say about it:
LIKE NEW NEVER USED BUCK LIMITED EDITION #192 WITH IMPALLA HORN GRIPS. WITH ORIGINAL SHEATH.

I really like the handle but that combo edge on the blade really puts me off.

I bought one of the web specials 110s with a combo blade and I find it useful for cutting rope, cord and line. A good blade for a sport or commercial fisherman.

Agreed that serrations are useful cutting strapping, rope, seat belts etc. and have a real use in First Responder's knives and Tactical knives. But a Vanguard is a drop point skinner and IMO shouldn't have serrations (just my preference).

I tend to go for a knife with full serrations rather than a combo edge anyway. g

To me, serrations really spoil the lines of a beautiful knife.

Aren't they for cutting bread?

I avoid them where possible.

And I've never seen that "Limited Edition" before. Did he say who ordered it?

Gosh.......first serrations, now a gut-hook.

Nice, though......I wouldn't mind getting a shot at one with a plain blade.

(I mean plain......what's this mania for writing or signing or drawing or printing or lasering on the blade all about anyhow??!!!???!!!!)

I like the curve/shape of the horn that zipper. Boy wouldn't a black S30V AG blade look awsome with those handles?

Flatlander, it is a nice knife, but I understand how someone can be put off by serrations. I really don't care for them myself, and a sharp knife cuts rope.

BG42EDGE, know how you feel too...good lord, knives with quad-shocks, a fax machine,a cappacino machine and who knows what all else:p...whatever happened to knives w/ clean lines and sharp edges? :D

Yes!!!

I'm starting a new political party.....the anti-blade-doodling party.

A few gut-hooks and serrations for those who like them, but no more scribbling, no more billboards, no more deer pictures, no grizzly bears, no bare-naked ladies, no famous laser-faces......just natural and well-shaped STEEL.
