Different variations of Kabar Pestilence?

Bought one of these for deal to hard to pass up and getting soon. Were some of these made in USA and some made overseas? USA 1095, China or where ever SK5 steel? Is there also a spiked and spike less pommel version? If have any info would like to know cause not 100% sure the listing on their site was accurate with their info and not really sure what I'm getting.
 
The first ones were made in Taiwan of SK5. These just have the biohazard symbol for a logo. The handles for these do not have the little "hangy-down" spike on the handle end.

The US made versions were made of 1095. The US made versions include a US flag as part of the logo. "OLEAN NY" is part of the ricasso stamp. These knives have the "hangy-down" spike.

Thanks for clarifying! I'm glad this is probably the spike less version (though could have ground off) , but disappointed it's not 1095, tho I had a kabar in sk5, famine I think, and steel took a very nice edge and seemed tough, I'll be using this alot more. That website needs to change their info on listing, it says both 1095 and sk5 so unhonestly won't know til it gets here. They had another pestilence listed for a dollar more, wonder if that was the USA version, might call and ask and get both. Thanks again for info.:thumbsup:
 
Check out the Kabar website under clearance: they have deals on the swabbie, zomstro, the war sword and the zombro as well.

SK5 is perfectly good stuff. No need to worry about not having 1095.

I think SK5 is a Japanese equivalent to 1080 or something.
