I can't believe that "21-76" doesn't bring up a bunch of posts on here ... maybe it is something with the format. But anyway, can anyone speak about the differences in the different versions of the US military 21-76 survival manual?
I know that there are versions from the 50's, 1978, and 1999. I'm also pretty sure that I have seen one version that is much thicker than another. Also, some are called "Army" manuals and others are general military if I remember. Whatever the case, I cannot figure out what is what online, partly due to the fact that the sellers and reviewers don't really keep it straight in terms of which one they are talking about.
One particular thing is the number of pages/size. I probably want to get the thinner version so that I can throw it in a small kit.
Also, if anyone has a better small manual to recommend, don't hold back. I think the air force has another one.
