I'm thinking of taking the coating off my HR. Not that I don't like the coating, but a lot of it has been removed from the spine. Carrying a lot of food from the walk-in today, and there are 2 doors stupidly placed, and one closed at me. Had to use a brick, and my HR to make a new door stop. Worked perfect, but poor brick. Not a damn thing happened to my HR, except the coat. I think it laughed at me when I was looking it over.

So What are the wayts to remove this coating besides sandpaper, and paint stripper?

Just a thought. I once blasted chrome from a car radio trim plate using walnut shells as media in preparation for painting with black wrinkle (baked).....worked great!

I heard a washcloth soaked in Goof Off should be wraped around the blade and then left on for several hours, and then sandpaper to polish it up.
