Don't get confused by the lingo: Differential means that the blade has zones of varying hardness. In custom knives, this often manifests in something called the "hamon" or temper line. Here is an example from a master of the art, Don Hanson III:

Anyone have a copy of the original Ratweiler ad that proclaimed "This Bitch has a temper" while showing the differential temper line?
Rat daddy
Rat mastiff
1st gen ratweiler
Chopweiler
All battle rats but tan handle black blade
Camp tramp
M6
M9
Desert jack
1st run of waki
Taz rat
Test Team Regulator
That's the definitive list I believe
the SAR rat is too short and fat to benefit from a differential heat treat.
