What's the difference in Differentially and Through hardened? Is one better, stronger, different texture??? Thanks

Here's a quote from an email I got from Eric. The mojo he's talking about was through hardened:

"They are both high performance pieces and in normal use you probably won't be able to tell any heat treat difference. The differentially tempered M6 will hold up better
to lateral forces, the Mini Mojo will be less tolerant of lateral forces,
however it will still be fine when used to pry. In normal use you probably
will not find any fault with either of them."
