Differing bevel heights/widths

I'm not sure I am using the right terminology here... I've got a knife that had one side at 15 degrees and the other side at 20, so I reprofiled (primarily the 20 degree side) to make both sides 15 degrees. I used a Sharpmaker with a diamond steel rubberbanded to one of the rods. Now I'm noticing that the "line" at the top of the beveled portion on the reprofiled side is higher/further from the edge than on the other side. Does that indicate that my edge isn't in the center of the blade? It looks like it is (under 30x magnification, it appears that the edge is centered with equal amounts of the rest of the blade visible on either side). I guess a less likely possibility is that the angles of the saber grind (Delica 4) are different? I've actually gotten the knife the sharpest I've been able to recently, so I'm not complaining... just wondering how I should proceed in the future. I'm thinking that in future sharpenings I should work the lower side more than the higher side (like 2 or 3 strokes to 1), unless there is particular damage to the higher side... would that make sense? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

It is possible that you did not hold the knife perfectly vertical when you reprofiled it, but most likely, you are right, the edge is probably slightly off-center. I would not worry about it as it will not affect performance in any noticeable way. I think it makes sense to sharpen, when needed, more on the low side to even it out. If you need to do a full sharpening, just start on the low side until you raise a burr and then switch sides and repeat. That will move it a slight amount each time.

Is it sharp? If it is I personally would not worry about it. If you want them even then, like has been said just even it out in subsequent resharpenings.
