I see all these videos of guys able to barely "flick" there wrist and their Para2 opens lightning fast or closes fast. Mine is new and I can't do that. What wrong? Technique or tweak?

I'd say its a matter of technique and the knife being brand spankin new. Give it time to break in. Over time things wear and the detent ball will flatten some, the washers will smooth over and gloss some as well as the surface where they move with the blade rotation. The Para 2 is one of the better models I've bought from Spyderco and I can see a vast diff between my well used one and the NIB model never used for anything except an occasional look see. While Spyderco does a great job of selling smooth folders ready to roll right out of the box they do smooth out a little more with use like some other brands so I'd say if it doesn't do that in short order here in a month or so that you could speed it up or help it along by adjusting the pivot tension to make it a better flicker. Always let nature do its thing first before adjustments though or at least try to. Thats the policy I've adopted and if you do take things apart make note of how and where each screw and pin was located so you can put them back treating each part as 'location specific'. This policy will help to prevent things from not working as they did before disassembly and it may also help to have a clean towel under you where you work. Small screws and pins tend to run off so its always a good idea to try to slow any escapes by doing it with a towel or tray with a lip under you when you work.

The Para 2 has an extremely strong detent/ball fit, so it takes some serious flicking to open it with the thumb or middle finger on the back side. Remember to flick towards the top of the knife and not straight out.
