Digging the cleaver

The cleaver got put through its paces for first time making brisket bao buns.

It worked a treat for chopping [no surprise] but also for finer veggie work, choked up grip on blade.

Anyone else make use of theirs this holiday ?

I never even opened mine till Christmas.
The wife's a little intimidated by it, tho she was handling it yesterday with a scary look in her eye.... Lol.

She's got a nice collection of ebony handled kitchen knives now.
I look forward to using it.

I should say I enjoyed this post on it, but didn't want to chat about it cause it makes me feel bad for not getting one, even though I dont need one........so I read it liked it and moved on. surprised more who got one didn't jump in to discuss it more.....

I hope they make more. The thickness on the spine is…perfect.

I’m imagining a re-ground giant wharncliffe chopper for camp use in hip sheath….

I used mine once so far. Chopping chicken and steak for a stir fry. Worked great! looking forward to using it again!

Made tuna poké bowls with the cleaver last night, and it drew first blood.

Just a light nick in left index, but man this thing is sharp. Now that it has tasted humans, should I worry?

Used the thick spine to pound out some chicken breasts for schnitzel, is there nothing this cleaver can’t do?

I picked of 3 of them to hopefully have a great looking handle. The other two were destined as gifts, but have since changed my mind about giving them away.
Of the three, one was pure black, the other with great blonde streaks, and the last is the keeper with great figure in the scales. Used it to chop up veggies on a couple of occasions already.

Thinking the other two will be sold at auction with starting bid covering my cost. Should be fun right? LOL
