Please don't flame me, I've already searched and read all I can on the matter, I have some specific q's.
I have a new digicam para 2 on the way, and I want to rit dye the scales, I know how to do it and what's involved.
I noticed that the guy (sorry forget name, please chime in) who died his red, got a nice translucent effect with the dye, so that you could see the digicam underneath. Now I had the idea that if I used pearl gray, I could effectively darken the scales to a translucent grey with darker shades of digicam, sort of going for an urban camo look - or will the grey just coat everything a solid colour?
If the grey is a no go I was thinking a bright green, any thoughts on mixes / colours? Or anything else that will take well to the digicam, open to ideas.
