I have been shopping for a digital camera. My only use for it is to take pictures of knives to post on the Internet. Any ideas for a low cost (under $200) camera? Thanks!

I picked up a new HP 215 digital camera on E Bay for $140.00, and have no complaints. For long term saving of money you might want to invest in some good rechargeable batteries, these cameras are battery munchers:D

I picked up a used Olympus for under $200 and am quite satisfied. If what I read was correct, make sure you get one with macro capabilities, rather than just a "Zoom" lens, for close up stuff (I also wanted to photograph watches and small things).

As suggested, look into rechargeables or an external power supply, and make sure you understand how to transfer the pics from tha camera to your desktop--some of the cable things are really slow. I spent another $70 or so to get a special 3.5 disk that takes the memory card from the Olympus and allows me to transfer pics to my laptop right from the diskette. It was way faster than the enclosed cable setup, and is working out well.

Good luck!:)
