I got these digital camo scales on a RC-3MIL in a recent purchase can anyone tell me who made them and where they came from.

I dont usually get into camo knives, but that is just plain cool!

And that's the reason we don't offer replacement scales. The fit plain sucks.

not any more worse than the izula scales but i don't notice regardless. i'm just saying. please don't ban me. i'll buy the first round of beer or lap dances when you visit nj :o

Izula scales are not meant to go all the way to the edge, thus the reason we can sell them. These scales were meant to go to the edge and whoever fitted them sucks.

i see. good to know. i'm off the hook. more beer/t&a money for me then!

Didn't mean to hurt your feelings but it is what it is. Nice look to them though...if you stand back far enough :D

boy am I glad I did not make them. talk about tearing them apart!!!
thanks a lot people

They look cool man and if your happy with them thats what matters. This goes back a ways to when we were considering offering replacement scales in funky color options and different materials.

There was a ton of back and forth and banter about it and the final decision was made to scrap the idea as they just couldn't be made to fit properly due to variations in the tang shaping after final fitting and finishing.

Bastard....:D

I really dig the Digital Camo scales, fit could be better, but as long as your happy who cares? Thanks for sharing (and giving me the idea to try this someday for myself).

Jeff I am one who would love scales available seperately, but just switching them from knife to knife now, I see how much finish work is really put in to them.

Other companies wouldn't mind that and many wouldn't notice, but after the nearly 100% perfect fit on ESEE blades, it's the first thing I notice.

To the OP, I didn't mean any offense and I don't think anyone else did either, but you can just see that they weren't put on the knife then finished up. I still like the camo look. :D

hey I just got these in a deal with a knife and had not seen anything like it for sale, my question was where did they come from and who made them. no they dont fit worth a dam but they look good and if I could find some that fitted better I would buy some. I guess ill buy some material and make my own .
did that with my Becker bk2 and it worked out ok. This is Ebony
