Digital Double of Boar Knife - WIP

I'm building the CG version of the Boar Moabolo today. Thought I'd post some screen grabs as I go. Only the blade is required, as the actor performed some of the stunts with a handle only version. We'll tracking it's motion and compositing this one into the footage.

Roughed out the basic shape...

I enjoy seeing all these updates and such it's also really cool to know it's tied to a actual movie.

P.s. I like how you worked the words "basic" & "Bolo" into that post. Now you only need a "13"

You don't know how many night my wife is asking me to go to bed. I am up looking at the laptop at the Blade Forums and reading about and looking at Busse Knives.:thumbup: She looks at me and asks why am I always looking at knives. :mad: I just tell her I love them and they are works of art. :cool: She has actually told me that she wishes she would catch me looking at women sometimes. I get a real laugh out of that. She says that until the day happens there is hot chick on the screen. :mad::mad: Then we will see how much she prefers the Busse over the chicks. :eek:
 
Hahaha so true,, even my daughter asks why I'm always looking at knives. I ask her why she's always looking at American Girl Doll catalogs and circling things she likes, and say "well these are like those to me". She immediately asks,, ok so which one is your favorite?!
