Thinking of getting my wife a digital Film Scanner, however i am not sure which one to get. We have a small photography business and i think it would assist in that fact. however money is tight this year any ideas ?

Are you limiting yourself to 35mm negatives and slides, or going up to Medium Format?

Tony, i would to get one that does All three.
The only I've used is the Nikon LS-2000. Which went for around $900 a few years back. You can get the latest model, the Super Coolscan IV for around the same price. The main reason I got the Nikon is because of the Ice scanning software. It does a great job with removing and repairing minor scratches. The Canon model, the FS-4000 is very comparable in features and price. But both of these will only handle 35mm negatives, slides and APS.

Unfortunately that is more than i am able to spend at the moment, i am in complete agreement of that units capabilities.later when things get better i can upgrade.

I was thinking of $200.00 to $300.00 dollar price range.
