As the title suggests, I'm looking for a digital watch with very large digits for displaying the time. Doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles (no need for barometer, compass etc.) but does need the following:

- Stainless steel bracelet band or replaceable band
- Large, easy to read digits with good contrast
- Good back light function
- Date and day of the week display would be nice

So far the Uzi Guardian seems to fit the bill but I'm not sure if the band is replaceable and I want to review a few more options before deciding. Thanks in advance! :)

Neither answers your question about replacing the straps, and Uzi's web site doesn't show replacements. You could email their customer service

service@campco.com

and search Watchyouseek's digital & ABC watches forum

It is hard to find digital watches in that price range with a steel case, or with standard lugs in a standard size for an aftermarket steel bracelet. The only ones I know of are Pulsar PW3001 and PW3003, and they are not large display watches.

Thanks for the info! Very helpful indeed.

I've emailed Uzi and it seems the watch isn't compatible with standard straps and bands. A shame really because it really does fit all of my requirements save for the strap.

The Timex XL Expedition and the Pulsar PQ series shown in the second link look like potential contenders as well. I'll have to look into them. I hope not all the PQ series are negative display as the watch is going to be a Christmas gift and I'm not sure how the recipient feels about negative displays. He has an old Timex Ironman with a stainless band but it's getting old and the display isn't really that big.

Thanks again Piso!

Since the Pulsars all have negative displays, I would check out Timex. T49854 looks like it has conventional lugs for an aftermarket strap.
