So who has a lancer and would be willing to tell me the length of the closed knife and the length of the master blade?

I'm looking for something with a 2" or less blade and an opened length of less than 4 1/2". I was hoping the 305 would be a go.
(Work regulations. No knife that does not meet the above limits. Large corporation. Yes, it does suck little green toads that I cannot carry my 301.)

Thanks,
Frank

Frank,
I wish I had a brand new one to show you. But heres a photo of:
Top down: old 1970 Lancer 305, 1991 305, Brown Bone Clipper (305 with scissors), 309 and last next to ruler a 3 blade 310. The open 305 will be 3/16ths over your 4.5 inch rule. The 425 Gent is 4 3/4 inches open and someone left a 6327 Case in a church pew, which I made my wife pick up to keep my karma clean, and it is the same length as the 305. Good luck on a search, don't know why they could not have said 4 3/4 open as that would give you choices to rotate....

These 300 things are a thorn in my side. I have to drag out this baggie every time you guys go talking about them. :D:D

Sure nuff, there is what looks like a minty 305 in there. Have to use a dang jewelers loupe to see the number...lol.

The measurements I get is dead on 4.5 inches open with blade length at 1 7/8 inches (4.7cm). This one is a three liner with no year codes.

It wouldn't take much to profile the tip down to a sixteenth under the 4.5 ol.

Looks to be 2 5/8 inches closed

Larry,
You need let those 300s out of that bag to graze more often there growth is getting stunted. Karfeng, If you think a used vintage 305 will work email me, if you want a new model check those first, I gave up modern life in early ninties.

Thanks for the information and, 300Bucks, thank you for the generous offer.
I have a new one in my sites that a man named Kenny is willing to sell me for ~$20. I'm going to see what I can do with it.

Much obliged,
Frank

300 Bucks, In Re: "...and someone left a 6327 Case in a church pew..." I'm so glad you found that for me, I was just thinking the other day that I must have lost that in a church somewhere, as that is my "goin' ta church" carry knife. I can't remember precisely which church it was as there have been so many, One of my hobbies is to travel around the country visitin' churches, but if'n you mention the name, I'm sure it'll jog my memory. Anyhoo, just send it along now, and I'll reimburse ya'll fir the postage.
