Greetings All,

Can anyone give me the overall dimensions of the new smaller Strider model? Also, how about a release date and possible online dealers who will likely carry these? Thanks for your time!

JK

Knife Center of the Internet has them listed as in stock in the News section of their site. I can't find any further info. on them on their web site or a way to order them.
I have an E-Mail into them to get further info. but this time of year it may be a few days till they reply.
I am very interested in this model, especially if they have changed the blade shape to clip point or other than tanto shape.
I have the large model and like it a great deal.
Anyone with more info.???

Yup! Got my mini-strider this weekend. This smaller version is a lot easier to carry without feeling like your pants might fall off. A great jeans knife. When I ordered mine on Wednesday, Knife Center had two left.
This is going to be a keeper. Good Luck.

According to the new Buck Catalog, the mini Strider will be 7 in. open length and 4 in. closed. It will have a 3 in. tanto blade and according to this early version catalog, no spearpoint blade. The spearpoint blade will be offered on the full size Strider.

Joe!!!!! Please try to get this changed! We want a spearpoint blade option on the mini!!

Mini-Strider dimensions (by caliper):
Closed: 4.040 inch long by 1.00 wide by .690 inch thick (not including the clip).
Blade (when open): 2.950 inch by .990 inch wide by .177 thick at pivot end.
Pocket clip results in tip up carry. Strider/Buck symbol just to left of thumb stud when open. Boz flame on opposite side of blade.
Clip has three screws. Screws are threaded into G10 scale only. Titanium liner on inside has a circular cutout to prevent clip screws from bottoming out on liner. (My question is, "Why not drill and thread the liner and use slightly longer screws to prevent stripped threads?")
Liners are on both sides of opening. Liners are .066 inch thick. I assume liners are titanium.
Thumbstud is not knurled but has a full cirle grove just .035 from top of stud.
Liners have circular cutouts for above mentioned clip screw ends, lanyard hole (.152 inch diameter), and three spacing bushings. The cutouts were produced by wire EDM, thus no residual stresses or rounds and burrs from punched holes.
Blade is bead blasted to a soft gray. My knife has BG42 under Boz flame symbol.
There is file work on the liners and at the top back end of the blade. When blade is open, the file work grooves line up.
Sorry for the long post, but the only thing I don't have for you is the weight. Didn't think about it when I was at work. Have fun.

SST Engineer,

Thank you very much for the great info! I am quite pleased that Buck is offering this knife in a size that I can legally carry. I appreciate your time, you have provided information I haven't been able to find elsewhere.
