Really want to make a hideout and or a New York special for my dad.

Prefer to do the original pattern justice but not finding much. Found the egnath patterns on the web and they leave a lot to be desired.

Anyone who makes or owns either of the above models could you chime in on how wide the blade is spine to edge? Also overall length of either or both?

Really appreciate it!

I do not have at the moment when I write you the measurements for these two knives (I'm not in the shop) but
I'm writing here the measures for the NYs, which the great SR Jhonson wrote years ago in another forum: "Blade, from front of handle to tip is 3.5" Handle from front to butt is 4". Blade is 13/16" + wide at the choil. The butt is about 9/16" wide, + or -, and front of handle is 3/8" - 7/16" thick, or so."
and here for Hide Out
"9 1/16 OAL, 1" wide, at widest point on blade and handle."

you can see here for pattern: http://www.engnath.com/lovedraw.htm but for the originality, I do not assure you anything. For example, I realize the ferrule in U type, in this pattern you see two holes for the bolsters.

The book "Living on the Edge: the logos of Bob Loveless" by Al Williams has good photos of a number of Loveless knives for each of his designs. The knives are photographed against a 1/4" grid so you can get good estimates of dimensions with some precision. The book is available second hand for ridiculous prices. I downloaded pdf of the book two years ago. I don't know if you can still do that.
