I've gotten several messages about how I did my wrap on my Esky. Here ya go...
You're gonna need about 30" of MilSpec 550 paracord.

Fold it in half and slip it thru the handle like so.
PICT0596.jpg

Brings the ends of the cord around both ends of the handle.
PICT0597.jpg

Slip each end thru the loop like this and pull tight. This will keep the cord from slipping down toward the blade when using.
PICT0599.jpg

From there just start weaving it thru so it looks like this. Make sure you pull tight each wrap and push the cords down too to lock it together.

Should look like this when you reach the ring of the handle.

next slip the two ends thru the handle ring.

Flip the knife around and slip each end thru the space below the ring.

Flip the knife over again and should look like this.

Flip the knife over again. Bring each end of the cords around each side of the handle. Slip the ends thru the loops going into the handle rings like this.

Pull tight so it looks like this.
PICT0607.jpg

Snip the cord ends.

Take a lighter to the ends of the cord and push the cord loops together.

Almost done.

When it cooled down push the fused ends down in between the cord loops.

Ta da!
Enjoy!!!!!!

Excellent! Thank you. I am going to get my daughter one and put some purple paracord on for her. Now I know how I will do it.

Not going to lie, as much as I swore I didn't need an Eskabar since I have a nice Izula sitting in the drawer, the more I see them the more I like them. Thanks for the How-To, bud. Good post

Great! I was looking for a good tutorial for my Eskabar. I dig the finish.

Nice wrap! I did about the same thing on my Buck Paklite. I have a BK-14 but have yet to wrap it.

I need to find a better way to wrap my BK11. The handle is a little short for me so I add a extra 1" of round cobra stitch.

Thanks for the How-To! The wrap itself is pretty self-explanatory but the starting and finishing knot are a little bit more complicated. I ended up just melting the ends together without looping them through the hole-ish part, so I can still put my pinkie inside there (uuuh kinky :D). It just feels more comfortable if you're afraid of losing your knife because you're holding it over a river or something. I know a lanyard would serve the same purpose, but I hate lanyards.

Actually, it was more like 50". Thanks for the tutorial, worked well for me.

Thanks a bunch. I've been waiting for a good one to do mine. I really like yours.
