Took my wife out for birthday dinner tonight. Good thing I brought my Hiking Buddy from the draw to help the little girl with her dental work:

Congrats! Hope you and your wife had a nice birthday dinner. Gotta love the Hiking Buddy!;)

I thought I had a tough steak until I realized the restaurant knife wouldn't have cut warm butter.

I find that most restaurant supplied steak saws suck, and much prefer to take my own steak knife :)

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one :) my wife gives me crazy looks when I whip out a knife at a restaurant because theirs wouldn't cut melted butter :)

Nice! THose plates are rough on edges tho.

Beautiful blade sir. I'm going to start whipping out my Chris Reeve Sebenza 21 for the prime rib when it arrives, if ever. Gosh, special orders from CRK take so long.

You have to learn to press just hard enough to hear a gentle click on the plate. The maitre d' will get upset if you baton the dinnerware!
