The resinfamily is vacationing in Calabash, NC. knifehunter and family live about 35 miles down the coast, by Murrell's Inlet, SC. We met in the middle, Myrtle Beach, for dinner tonight; the first time our families have got together. It's always good when forum friends can meet in the real world, and everyone had a great time over dinner getting to know each other better. His eldest daughter is close in age to resingirl, and our wives are both working professional women suffering with knife nut husbands. A good time was had by all.

Hey Guy, it was a great time for sure!

It was great to finally meet your family and we look forward to seing you all again in the future:cool:

I got to jump over Trevor at blade for a couple of cards. :) I hope to get to hang next year and enjoy some of the after show fun.

Honestly, I'd really like to have dinner with Knifehunter. I owe that guy, at the very least, a nice dinner.

That is awesome! It's great you could find time to get together  Nice to hear you had a great time :D

Joe, I am a little home sick. Where would you go for a nice dinner. Are you a BBQ fan?......I find myself thinking about Coleman's BBQ often. AUS food is nothing to get excited about. I am home sick for food! Oh well.
I was a little jealous of all you folks who got together at Blade Show. Maybe next year....

Glad to hear that all involved had a great time. It's always good to hear about forum friends meeting up for a lot of fun in the real world.

I'm a fan of Memphis BBQ Company in Southaven, but it's hard to turn down Texas de Brazil too

It is nice to see the forumites getting together end starting friendships outside of the forum. :D I hope you all had a fantastic time!

..... you are just doing it wrong mate.... you have to COOK the road killed camel and not try to eat it right off the hot tar...!!!!!!!!

Mmmm mmmm mmmmm, That sounds grrr.....terrible! I work with a lot of aboriginals up here and they will gladly run over a wallaby (small kangaroo) for dinner. One of the guys at work is going to bring a some dugong (manati) to try. He declares it taste like pork.
They also get giddy over turtle but it doesn't sound that good to me. A lot of the locals under cook their meat to what we are accustom to. Bloody chewy turtle meat makes my mouth water in a bad way.

Joe, I have never been to the BBQ Co.in Southaven but Texas de Brasi....I have walked out of there completely stuffed a few times. That is good eating.
have you ever had a pizza from Eudora, I always get the cheese burger pizza. Sounds crazy but it's very good.
Oh well, maybe next year
