Last night, I had the pleasure of being invited to the Busse Buffet, held at the restaurant behind their shop.
Everyone was there, including Jerry's brother-in-law, sister, parents, Jennifer.
I met them at the shop and found they do "Casual Fridays" like no one else. Jerry was chugging on a bottle of Knob Creek every time I glanced his way.
Amy-0 snuck me a "factory tour" under the radar before everyone went over to the restaurant.
I waited until they all left before I went over for dinner The rear entrance to the restaurant was a wrought iron stair case, full length rails on both sides, that went up to the second floor. What made it unusual was that at the top, you were facing the stone wall of the building. You were next to the entry door, blocked from it by the wrought iron railing. I looked at it for a second, looked down to the ground below and wondered how folks got in ! Then I saw the trick: The upper landing rotated around, railing and all, lining up perfectly with the door. Interesting design feature, I thought.
I went in and it dawned on me that I'd not actually been invited, but no one chased me away, either. Still, I held back, making sure there was enough food for everyone else before I got in at the end of the line.
All in all, a fun time..............
THEN I WOKE UP !
